The History of Northwest Surgery Center
Founded in the 1970’s by Dr. Robert A. Nielsen, Northwest Surgery Center is a pioneer in minimally invasive foot surgery. The first minimally invasive procedure was sucessfully completed in Dr. Nielsen’s office in the 1970’s. Since then, thousands of successful procedures have been done.
NWSC became a certified Ambulatory Surgery Center in 1993.
On July 11, 1951, the State Board of Medical Examiners awarded Dr. Robert A. Nielsen Chiropody Cirtificate #263, allowing him to pracice Chiropody in the state of Wisconsin.
On May 24, 1972, Dr. Nielsen received his Post-Graduate degree in Ambulatory Podiatric Surgery and Office Protocol.
